BINGE-eating disorder

INTRODUCTION:

Binge-eating disorder (BED) is a very complicated mental illness because the symptoms of this mental illness seem normal to us until they affect the person in a holistic way. In this disorder, people used to have heavy meals in a short period of time. They love to have big meals, and they got addicted to the heavy meals. The story doesn’t end there; people with BED have to face the emotion of guilt after having a big, fat meal. This makes them obese and affects their self-image. It is usually seen that people with BED are more likely to have low self-image and self-esteem. A high proportion of people worldwide are affected by this disease because, in this mental illness, people have emotional eating. They eat emotionally rather than rationally, which impacts their whole health. Having a big, fat meal all the time makes them an isolator. It is crucial to keep a keen eye on our eating habits because the way we eat and how much we eat show that we are healthy mentally and emotionally. There are many therapies and medications that help people have rational eating rather than emotional eating. This is the best way to have the ideal body weight because heavy meals add layers of fat to the body.
